We wanted an advent calendar when we started our family. I looked all over the Internet because we wanted a wooden one (to last for years) and one displaying the nativity scene (the whole purpose of "advent"). This calendar also allows the children to create the manger scene day by day as they wait for Christmas. All in all, this was perfectly what we had in mind!
Thankfully, Amazon had this one for the best price! It arrived very quickly--just days after ordering it. We were delighted with it! It is well-constructed and very sturdy. The magnetic pieces stick well, and the magnets are flush with the backs of the figurines. The colors are gorgeous and very enchanting. We were also glad to see that the boxes are large enough to hold a figurine and a piece of candy. I think this will be one of our favorite family gifts!

We really enjoyed this "addition" to our family this year. The quality is wonderful and the grandkids enjoyed it and placed the Holy Family and animals around to their liking. This will become a wonderful family tradition and hand-me-down. I think it's also nice because it will help to tell the true story and meaning of Christmas.
